Ice Cream Flavor of the Week: Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

Or as P says: “the pure taste of cheesecake distilled into ice cream goodness”.πŸ˜› Another recipe from David Lebovitz’s The Perfect Scoop as I’m trying to churn my way through the book.

Although P loved this ice cream, I thought it tasted too much like cheesecake. I think it needed some sort of texture like graham crackers or tart crust blended in.

  1. Yum, that looks delicious! I have a blueberry cheesecake recipe I love (Dear Abby’s), I bet I’d love this too. I keep thinking about buying an ice cream machine, but I worry it will become one of those gadgets that end up never being used. How often do you make ice cream? Have you ever made sorbet? Thanks!

  2. Um, this ice cream looks awesome! Maybe have some graham cookies to pair with?πŸ™‚ I know at Coldstone, they mix in graham cracker crumbs into the strawberry cheesecake ice cream and it tastes divine!
