It finally happened

I’ve subscribed to the Martha Stewart Cookie of the Day e-mail for months possibly even years and have never made a cookie. I save each and everyone in my cookie of the day folder. There have been many that I’ve said to myself, “I’m definitely making those” and somehow, it turns out, with all my skooling 😛 I don’t know the definition of ‘definitely’.

I’m proud to announce I baked a Martha Stewart Cookie of the Day. On March 28, the cookie was Pecan Sandies and everything was perfectly aligned in the universe that day:
1. I heart pecan sandies. Okay, I heart most cookies.
2. I had all the ingredients
3. I had the time
4. The instructions were simple. No fancy cookie-making techniques or equipment needed.

I made the cookies smaller than suggested and they turned out great. Perfect “sandie” texture and the brown sugar/pecan flavor was awesome.

lovely cookies…its tempting not to have just one..

I’m just like you – I get the emails and save 3 or 4 a week but I’ve never made anything. These look awesome, somehow I overlooked them in the email. I do love me some pecan sandies though!

That just reminded me that I used to get that cookie-of-the-day email and haven’t for months.
Pecan sandies are a dangerous cookie for me!

They look so good, I can almost taste them from here. I didn’t know that there was a cookie of the day email. That’s pretty cool.

Eventually we all succumb to Martha. I’m making her lollipop cupcakes for Easter.

You’re funny, I bet I’ve done the same thing. I was devastated a couple of months ago when my harddrive crashed and I lost all my recipe bookmarks! Arrgh!

Haha I get the emails too and I’m pretty sure I’ve never made anything either. I also have a folder with all of the emails saved so maybe one of these days I’ll get around to it too 🙂 Your cookies look wonderful!
