New cookbook for me

I bought Alice Water’s The Art of Simple Food a couple of weeks ago. I’ve only made one recipe so far–buttermilk pancakes (what can I say, we enjoy all breakfast foods 😛 ). They were 100% whole wheat, but the secret was  to use 1/2 whole wheat pastry flour and 1/2 regular whole-wheat. The pancakes were light and fluffy and not dense. Very delicious.
