This week was busy {so, thanks for the one-sentence post challenge}: I rescued my vanilla beans (!) and a few other essentials, went on a 9.5 mile hike, made Dorie Greenspan’s Vanilla Ice Cream {David Lebovitz-ing it up by using both Tahitian vanilla bean and Tahitian vanilla extract}, made this week’s Tuesdays with Dorie recipe Brownie Buttons {thanks to Jayma of Two Scientists Experimenting in the Kitchen ; for recipe visit her blog or buy the book}, baked brownies in 8×8-inch pan instead of mini-cupcake pan, and created Mini-Ice Cream Sandwiches which resulted in world peace, eternal happiness, and a perfect summer treat.
This isn’t quite fair, this challenge, because I feel like I have to leave a really long comment after seeing how good these look. 🙂
mini ice cream sandwiches do = eternal happiness
Your ice cream sandwiches look divine!
Yum, brownies and ice cream! Glad to hear that you are reunited with your vanilla beans!
I’m developing the Pavlovian response of salivating whenever I see specks of vanilla bean. So good! What a lovely variation.
Oh my goodness, those look great! I love serving brownies with a scoop of vanilla, so that is certainly the most beautiful way to present that classic combo.
The perfect summer treat indeed, and I’m wondering if using the 8×8 pan would have saved the brownies for me because yours look amazing.
Love the mini sandwiches!
Saving the world, one ice cream sandwich at a time. Looks great!

Brilliant idea! And great sentence : )
I think this is a wonderful way to make these brownies, especially as I didn’t really like the brownie buttons all that much. These ice cream sandwiches look delicious.

So cute! What a great use for these brownies.
Adorable and delicious!! I am not sure anyone kept their post to a brief one sentence. 🙂 Love the photos!
There are few desserts I like better than brownies and vanilla ice cream, so perfect! Sounds like a good week!

Oh my god, does that look AMAZING or what?! Now I’m craving ice cream all over again- it really doesn’t take much, but the abundant vanilla bean flecks are just so enticing, I’m drooling just thinking about how brilliant that flavor must be!
How fantastic! I love eating ice cream with brownies so this really would be my idea of heaven!
uh, yum.
This looks lovely! Definitely the perfect summer treat…too bad they wouldn’t survive the hike! Enjoying those after 9.5 miles would be divine.
a super swell sentence, and delectable looking brownie ice cream bites…i want one *now*…
Oh, that looks so good! I think ice cream would have helped my little buttons. They were a bit dry.
So cute, and of course!!! Love them. Wish I could eat them!
Nice sentence! (Thank goodness for parenthesis and other creative punctuation). Also, I love your sandwiches. Brownies and ice cream are the perfect combination!
LOVE those ice cream sandwiches! You are brilliant, as always!
Great job on your sentence! I love the idea of a brownie ice cream sandwich. I tried to make it work with a previous TWD recipe but my brownie crumbled. I can see this one being chewy enough to get the job done.
That’s a creative way of combining two recipes together! yum!
I did ice cream sammies, too. Great minds. Yours look fab!
Fantastic idea!
Beautiful ice cream and brownies! Nothing makes me happier than vanilla bean flecks in ice cream.
Arghhhhh… after the vacation, it was the pc dying out on me…
And I missed those… amazingly moist looking darn little killers!
